1. That I could still lead a pretty normal life because I had awesome family and friends to support me- and I made NEW friends for even more help. 2. I talk about astrophysics during my bone marrow biopsies. 3. The struggle... 4. How mean some doctors and nurses can be. 5. I was surprised by how many profound positive effects there were from my cancer experience, some of them on a very deep personal level. 6. Numb finger tips and noodle like legs that hurt all the time. 7. It was tough, it was hard, but I made it through!!!! 8. How many people stepped forward to say that they loved me and cared about me. 9. I was surprised at the fact that I missed my bed more than anything. I spent about two months away from home and it was a blessing to be back in my bed. 10. Being able to crack jokes and laugh with my doctors throughout my treatment. 11. They let me go out of the Hem/Onc ward for about 30 minutes to sit and visit with a therapy dog. As long as I was really careful. They talked and joked with me about my interests. |
